“Morning”

Soft light hits the panes
Color blankets the landscapes
The world is waking

When I was starting on this project, one of the songs on my Anime OST Playlist was on repeat. It was titled “Morning” by Ame no Parade. That’s why when Markus suggested this as a title, I was totally in for it. No questions asked.

I rarely like songs which give off a sad feel but something about “Morning” made me want to listen to it again and again. It was the opening song of one of the cutest anime I’ve ever watched: Honobono Log.

It has ten episodes with each episode running two minutes long telling stories about families, friends and love. It is really a must-watch even for those who don’t watch anime that much. The sweet and fluffy feeling you get after watching it is fulfilling.

The small joys in my life like this short anime series pushes me to not give up on life even, and especially when, the going gets tough.

Similarly, mornings evoke a similar feeling of hope. Though some mornings are brighter than others, some more cloudy, rainy or stormy than others, what can we do but strive on. And they’re all mornings either way, all signifying a new day, a new start, a new chance.

Peace 🙂
